It’s finally happening! I’m thrilled to kick off 2026 with a bang:
Working with Startups from Science Podcast is getting reinforcements straight from the heart of the Berlin startup ecosystem 💚
A warm welcome to the team, Nicolas Rode! 👏
Nicolas is not your typical host. His CV reads like an adventure novel – from growing up in Nicaragua and Senegal to founding a surf retreat in Portugal and gaining deep insights into knowledge and technology transfer (including at Falling Walls).
What is our mission?
It’s about going beyond the obvious. We want to uncover the hidden dynamics of the (science-tech/deep-tech) startup world and highlight the unseen forces that drive innovation.
The big question drives us: How do we bridge the gap between research and market?
We are looking at the best ecosystems worldwide to understand how to turn scientific breakthroughs into real-world impact.
And we are starting this mission right here, in the heart of the capital: Berlin.
In our debut episode, we talk openly about Imposter Syndrome. Nicolas explains why people with “non-linear” CVs or cultural shifts are often the best founders and how to turn self-doubt into pure execution power.
An incredibly honest conversation to start a new era.
