We change how video analysis can be used in sports, education and beyond.
Why are you a science-tech Startup/Company?
Three of our founders (Janos Koschwitz, Thomas Gossmann and Gerrit Kollegger) studied sports science with a focus on computer science at the Technical University of Darmstadt. During their studies and their diploma theses they dealt with the topic of conception and use of software solutions in sports. The idea for our product came from Gerrit Kollegger’s work as a video analyst for the national teams of the German Hockey Federation. Although video analysis software was used here, current sports science and information technology concepts were not satisfactory. Together with Christoph Mickel, another sports scientist, we developed a solution for the area of video analysis that was based on our scientific work and practical experience.

What problem have you identified with your research?
Sport science has always been a research area driven by practical experience. For many years, we have been involved in all parts of sports: Athletes, coaches, officials AND science, we represent it all. Therefore, realizing that there is a big gap between modern, digital possibilities to fulfil the needs of everybody in sports and easy-to-use tools to do so, was not a big stretch. This is why we thought about, which topic exactly produces the highest benefit and that is video analysis.
Everybody in professional sports relies on its benefits. No other training method is so widely used with professional athletes.
As sport scientists, we know: A training method that still has an effect when the margin of winning and losing is just 1 or 2 percent. Definitely works when the level of performance is lower.
The benefits are just much bigger.
However, video analysis has not been extensively used in the other levels than with pros.
What solution do you offer?
- is fully customizable and can be used in all sports and for all levels of play
- it runs on all devices. It doesn’t matter if you use Android or Windows OR if you prefer Apple with MAC and iOS. The software is identical.
- further you can use it with any digital video file.
Our main focus in development has always been and will always remain: INTUITIVE handling is the most important.
What is the product that you sell?
We do not believe that we know it all. This is why we have worked together with our users right from the start. Before we put our MVP to market, we had collected feedback of 100+ customers from different sports and various levels of play to be sure, that we had a product which is easy to use. This is complemented by our approach that the software has to run on all devices and collaboration across all platforms is seamless.
Which market do you want to address with your product?
Our primary market are coaches, clubs and associations in amateur and professional sports. Customers include individual coaches as well as larger organizations such as clubs, federations, or youth development centers. Organizations often act as customers and provide our software to their coaches, players, sports management and marketing staff.
The area of video and data analysis in sports is increasingly attracting the interest of companies, startups and science. In the area of video analytics, we compete with approximately four comparable competitors. In the development of our products, we follow the motto “By coaches for coaches” and permanently involve our users in the further development.
What are the next steps of your startup?
Our next steps include the further development of an automatic onboarding process into our software even for users without any former experience in video analysis, setting up a network of national and international distribution partners and the continuing, never-ending optimization of the user experience of our software.
The goal is to become the number 1 in video analysis in Germany within a couple of years and expand internationally.
What do you and your startup need?
We are always looking for strategic partners that want to join our vision. Furthermore, we raise capital for our expansion.
Last but not least, we are currently looking for highly motivated new team members for communications and marketing.
